Community Information Meeting

  • Environmental Management Action Plan
  • Environmental Assessment Law

An Environmental Management Action Plan (EMAP) and an Environmental Assessment Law (EA Law) are currently being developed that will outline future recommended actions and promote sustainable environmental practices within Atikameksheng Anishnawbek reserve lands.

Community consultation is a critical component in the development of the EMAP and EA Law.  A series of community meetings and community ratification is required before land policies become officially recognized and endorsed by Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.

You are invited to a community meeting on Tuesday December 9, 2014 to:

  • ¬†Learn more about the draft EMAP and EA Law that are currently being developed; and
  • Provide your input on what you think should be the priorities for action on a variety of lands-related topics.
